We hope you found our previous circular helpful! In it, we clarified the PUB's requirements for preventing bird roosting in the water tank enclosure room.
This circular will focus on the prevention of bacterial growth in water service installations, including the centralised hot water system. Here is a list of measures for MCSTs, Town Councils, and building owners to implement:
Monitor daily water consumption.
Adjust water tank storage capacity if needed to prevent prolonged water stagnation.
Maintain water volume in the tank equivalent to about one day's usage.
Conduct regular flushing if water in the service installations remains stagnant for an extended period.
Let us work together to ensure that your water pumps deliver safe drinking water reliably.
Thank you.
Yours sincerely,
Pumps Service Centre Team
